A free community flower show in Tottenham will offer craft stalls, workshops, and awards for the best home-grown vegetables and flowers the September.
The Tottenham Flower and Produce Festival, being held at Lordship Rec on Saturday, 13th September between 11am and 5pm, will see attendees taking part in free workshops for adults and children, as well as browsing craft and food stalls.
There will also be a puppet show, a children’s cycle ride, music, talks, and a café. Local residents can also bring “their best home-grown vegetables and flowers, baking and handicrafts” for display and judging.
Entries into the competition will need to be submitted by 11am, before an awards ceremony at 3pm.
Workshops will cover topics like how to make lip balm and how to plant your own miniature garden.
Workshops for children will also involve a family poetry workshop, lemonade making, transfer printing, and making eco-friendly cleaning products.
The event is organised by Friends of Lordship Rec, Black Rootz, GoGrowwithlove, Breadline London, Harmony Gardens and other local partners.
It is billed as being “all about sustainability, healthy lifestyle, wellbeing, food justice and resilient community”.
