Nearly £80,000 is available to local projects, reports Olivia Opara

Haringey council has opened its third round of community funding for climate and carbon-reduction focused projects.
On 1st November, Haringey Council announced that its Community Carbon Fund is reopening for a third round. This fund is part of the council’s climate change action plan, in which it will be funding local, community projects with aims of reducing carbon emissions and addressing the climate emergency.
The fund first opened in 2021. Last year, the council funded seven projects across the borough.
This year’s funding has a total funding pot of £70,642.
The council is hosting an in person event on Park Lane, Northumberland Park at the Neighbourhood Resource Centre. The event is the first of three and will run from 2.30pm to 4pm.
The deadline to apply for the funding is 7th January 2024.
