A course is set to be held by Haringey London Renters Union this week, reports Olivia Opara

A two-day course for residents to learn about the housing system and renters’ rights will come to Tottenham.
This Wednesday, 15th November, the Haringey London Renters Union branch is hosting the first of its two-part course about housing and renters’ rights for its members and local residents. The first part of the course will cover renting issues such as: how to resist evictions, demanding repairs are made, negotiating lower rent rises, reclaiming deposits, and dealing with landlord harassment.
The second part of the course will take place on Wednesday, 22nd November, and will cover how one raises housing and renting disputes and how public disputes with landlords are launched. It will also cover how the union uses disputes to improve the housing conditions of its members.
Both sessions will take place from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the North London Community House, 22 Moorfield Road, Tottenham, N17 6PY.
