Spurs legend Ossie Ardiles was on hand to start the race and present medals at the end
The annual ‘Tottenham Ten’ fun run held over the weekend has raised a record £9,000 for its charity organiser.
The Engine Room, a community centre and church in Tottenham Hale, organises the 10km race each year and has said this year’s event was the most successful ever.
There were almost 300 runners who entered, with eight event sponsors including Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, MUSE places, Regen Facades, Ellis and Co, Hunters of Tottenham, Lee Valley Park and Hale Village.
The run started in the centre of Hale Village and then took a two-lap circuit of Tottenham Marshes before finishing again in Hale Village.
This year Tottenham Hotspur legend Ossie Ardiles was on hand to start the race and present medals and trophies at the end. The winners were local resident Kader Seyed in a time of 34 minutes and 44 seconds and Mary Whittle in a time of 44 minutes and 21 seconds.
The youth category winners, sponsored by the Canal and River Trust, were Max Bell and Demmy Nedyalkova.
