London Youth Games winners from Haringey celebrate their success

Haringey is celebrating an incredible London Youth Games season after being crowned Jubilee Trophy champions for the third time – while also winning the Para Games Trophy for the second year running.

It was a season with outstanding performances across a wide range of sports, as Haringey’s young athletes demonstrated exceptional talent, determination and pride in representing their borough.

The borough again enjoyed an incredible season, with gold medals in boys’ cricket, girls inclusive basketball, plus tennis.

Haringey also finished first in the boys’ and girls’ para athletics and para football for both boys and girls as well.

Further success came with runner-up finishes in the under-13s girls’ football and indoor rowing, contributing to a remarkable overall team performance.

Craig Gravis, from Haringey Sports Development Trust, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Haringey and everyone who has been involved with Haringey.

“Winning the Jubilee Trophy for a third time and the Para Games for a second time is a tremendous accomplishment.

“The trophies are a reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment shown by our young athletes, coaches, volunteers, families, schools and clubs.

“Everyone who has represented Haringey should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved”
