A local councillor will host an annual event to commemorate Remembrance Day.

On Friday, 10th November, South Tottenham Labour councillor Sheila Peacock will be hosting an annual event for Remembrance Day at the war memorial in Tottenham Cemetery, end of Church Road. Children from ten local schools will be attending and the service will be conducted by Reverend Staffan from St Pauls and All Hallows Church.

The service will take place from 10.45am.

On Remembrance Sunday,12th November, there will be another service at 9.30am at Holy Trinity Church Philip Lane. Attendees will then head to the Cenotaph by Tottenham Town Hall for a service that will be conducted by Father Bunmi.

Cllr Peacock said: “This Remembrance Day will be even more moving this year with what is happening all round the world. Ukraine, Israel, Sudan and many others alas. This is an important time for all to come together to pray for peace.”
