The lido at Park Road Pools and Fitness opened in 1929

The lido at Park Road Pools and Fitness in Crouch End is 95 years old this year, to celebrate, the centre will be opening its doors to the community for a day-long celebration on Saturday, 1st June.
Visitors on the day will have the chance to book lane swimming (8am–9am and 5pm–6pm), family swims (2.30pm–4.30pm) and general swims (9.30am–11am and 12pm–2pm) as well as two outdoor family dance classes by the pool.
In addition, there will be free activities including a birthday Piñata, hook a duck games, music around the pool, face painting, water balloons and limbo sessions.
Younger visitors will have the chance to meet ‘Ollie the Octopus’ and take part in a mermaid meet and greet too.
Roz Standen-Horton, centre manager for Park Road Pools and Fitness at Fusion Lifestyle, said: “We are really excited to celebrate the lido’s anniversary. The lido has been a local landmark since the centre opened 95 years ago. Our lido is a place where the whole family can come and get active and have fun.”
